2 IT Teaching in Universities of China
The School of Software in leading Chinese universities delegate UCTID to recruit retired or semi-retired American IT industrial veteran/expert, university IT & Management professors to teach Information Technology, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, and Project Management. The program starts in Fall semester, 2006. All universities are located in major, well-developed cities in China. Most cities are directly administrated by Chinese Government such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, or the capital of each province (state), such as Wuhan, Chengdu, Nanjin, Jinan, Xian, Hangzhou, Hefei. Each teaching position requires on site service from the minimum of one month in summer term to the maximum of two full school years.
Who Should Apply:
- Retired or semi-retired IT industrial veterans/experts; teaching experience a plus
- Senior executives in IT firms with proven record in the domain knowledge area that he is qualified to teach, technical or management; teaching experience is a plus
- Active university professors with Ph.D. degree who wants to have experience or academic sabbaticals in China
- University retired professors
Candidate Responsibility:
The candidate will teach undergraduate, graduate level, and/or professional training course for minimum of 6 months in his/her specialized fields selected from the above listed general area. Special arrangement of short-term teaching (two weeks to one month) in summer time is possible for exceptional topic and world famous expert. Short-term teach in summer time alone are not preferred for most qualified candidates.

The students are mainly undergraduate and graduate students. Some are from industry for continuing learning and professional training. The course will be degree courses, special academic topic, or industrial case study in formal class or open seminars.

- Stipend of teaching: RMB 150-200 dollars per hour. (Note: considering local living cost, the purchase power RMB one dollar is roughly equal to one USD dollar.) Plus free access to a lot of social, cultural, business, traveling events hosted by local sponsoring universities.
